The King Hussein Cancer Foundation for Fundraising and Development

The King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) is the largest community-based organization fully dedicated to combating cancer in Jordan. It is led by Mrs. Nisreen Qatamish in her capacity as Director General. Below are the most prominent aspects of KHCF’s work:

Fundraising and Development: KHCF has established programs to raise donations locally, regionally and internationally in order to fulfill its mission of saving the lives of cancer patients. The Foundation also provides financial and psychological support to underprivileged patients who were admitted to KHCC (after meeting the criteria required for obtaining support).

Gaining Support: The Board of Trustees devotes its efforts to fight cancer regionally and internationally.In 2011 and 2018, His Majesty King Abdullah II appointed Princess Ghida Talal to represent Jordan as a special envoy to the United Nations General Assembly’s High Level Meeting on non-communicable diseases (NCDs), which was held in New York

Cancer Care Insurance: The Cancer Care Insurance provides members who were diagnosed with cancer with guaranteed treatment coverage at KHCC at a moderate annual subscription fee. The insurance welcomes all nationalities with no age limit. It is the largest social non-profit insurance to cover cancer treatment in Jordan.

Awareness: KHCF leads Jordanian efforts in raising awareness on the importance of early detection and cancer prevention by promoting smoking cessation, adopting a healthy lifestyle, following a balanced, healthy diet, and exercising.
